سُبحانَ اللهِ وَالحَمدُ للهِ وَلا إلهَ إلاّ الله وَاللهُ أكبَرُ.
All glory be to Allah; all praise be to Allah; there is no god save Allah; and Allah is the Greatest
سُبحانَ مَن لَبِسَ العِزَّ وَالوَقارَ،
Glory be to Him Who has dressed Himself dignity and sobriety!
سُبحانَ مَن تَعَطَّفَ بِالمَجدِ وَتَكَرَّمَ بِهِ،
Glory be to Him Who has deigned and condescended with grandeur!
سُبحانَ مَن لا يَنبَغي التَّسبيحُ إلاّ لَهُ،
Glory be to Him save Whom none is worthy of being glorified!
سُبحانَ مَن أحصَى كُلَّ شيءٍ عِلمُهُ،
Glory be to Him Whose knowledge has counted all things!
سُبحانَ ذي المَنِّ وَالنِّعَمِ،
Glory be to the Lord of bounty and boon!
سُبحانَ ذي القُدرَةِ وَالكَرَمِ.
Glory be to the Lord of omnipotence and nobility!
اللهُمَّ إنّي أسألُكَ بِمَعاقِدِ العِزِّ مِن عَرشِكَ وَمُنتَهى الرَّحمَةِ مِن كِتابِكَ،
O Allah, I beseech You in the name of the objects of dignity in Your Throne, in the name of the utmost of mercy in Your Book,
وَاسمِكَ الأعظَمِ وَكَلِماتِكَ التَّامَّةِ الَّتي تَمَّت صِدقاً وَعَدلاً،
and in the name of Your Greatest Name and Your Accomplished Words, which have been accomplished truly and justly,
صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأهلِ بَيتِهِ وَافعَل
يا رَبِّ يا رَبِّ
O Lord, O Lord!
يا رَبَّاهُ يا رَبَّاهُ
O my Lord, O my Lord!
رَبِّ رَبِّ
Lord, Lord!
يا اللهُ يا اللهُ
O Allah, O Allah!
يا حَيُّ يا حَيُّ
O Ever-living, O Ever-living!
يا رَحيمُ يا رَحيمُ
O All-merciful, O All-merciful!
يا رَحمنُ يا رَحمنُ
. O All-compassionate, O All-compassionate!
يا أرحَمَ الرَّاحِمينَ
. O Most Merciful of all those who show mercy!
«اللهُمَّ إنّي أفتَتِحُ القَولَ بِحَمدِكَ،
O Allah, I commence my wording with declaring praise to You,
وَأنطِقُ بِالثَّناءِ عَلَيكَ،
I utter the words of tribute to You,
وَاُمَجِّدُكَ وَلا غايَةَ لِمَدحِكَ،
I glorify You although Your glory is limitless,
وَاُثني عَلَيكَ وَمَن يَبلُغُ غايَةَ ثَنائِكَ وَأمَدَ مَجدِكَ،
and I compliment You although none can ever compliment You as much as You deserve and none can ever attain the extent of Your glory!
وَأنّى لِخَليقَتِكَ كُنهَ مَعرِفَةِ مَجدِكَ،
And how can Your creatures ever recognize Your glory [in its actual measure]!
وَأيَّ زَمَنٍ لَم تَكُن مَمدوحاً بِفَضلِكَ مَوصوفاً بِمَجدِكَ عَوَّاداً عَلى المُذنِبينَ بِحِلمِكَ.
And how can there be any moment for which You do not deserve praise due to Your favors and in which You are not ascribed to glory and in which You do not incessantly treat the sinful with Your forbearance?
تَخَلَّفَ سكَّانُ أرضِكَ عَن طاعَتِكَ فَكُنتَ عَلَيهِم عَطوفاً بِجودِكَ جَوَاداً بِفَضلِكَ،
Although the inhabitants of Your earth have fallen behind in being obedient to You, You have been kind to them out of Your munificence, munificent out of Your favors,
عَوَّاداً بِكَرَمِكَ،
and liberal out of Your generosity.
يا لا إلهَ إلاّ أنتَ المَنَّانُ ذو الجَلالِ وَالإكرامِ.
O He save Whom there is no god! O All-benevolent! O Lord of Glory and Honor!
يا مَن أظهَرَ الجَميلَ وَسَتَرَ القَبيحَ،
O He Who has shown only goodness and concealed the evil (deeds of His servants)!
يا مَن لَم يُؤاخِذ بِالجَريرَةِ،
O He Who has not censured for the offenses
وَلَم يَهتِكِ السِّترَ،
and has not exposed the hidden!
يا عَظيمَ العَفوِ يا حَسَنَ التَّجاوُزِ وَيا وَاسِعَ المَغفِرَةِ،
يا باسِطَ اليَدَينِ بِالرَّحمَةِ،
O He Who opens His Hands wide with mercy!
يا صاحِبَ كُلِّ نَجوى،
O He Who is present in all confidential talks!
وَمُنتَهى كُلِّ شَكوى،
يا مُقيلَ العَثَراتِ،
O He Who raises from falls!
يا كَريمَ الصَّفحِ،
O He Who is Generous in condonation!
يا عَظيمَ المَنِّ،
O He Who is Great in conferring bounties!
يا مُبتَدِئاً بِالنِّعَمِ قَبلَ استِحقاقِها،
O He Who takes the initiative in favoring before they are deserved!
يا رَبَّاهُ يا رَبَّاهُ يا رَبَّاهُ ،
O my Lord, O my Lord, O my Lord!
يا اللهُ يا اللهُ يا اللهُ ،
. O Allah, O Allah, O Allah!
يا سَيِّداهُ يا سَيِّداهُ ،
O my Master, O my Master!
يا مَولاياهُ يا مَولاياهُ ،
O my Chief, O my Chief!
يا رَجاءاهُ ،
O my hope!
يا غياثاهُ ،
O my succor!
يا غايَةَ رَغبَتاهُ ،
O ultimate of my desire!
يا رَحمنُ ،
O All-beneficent!
يا رَحيمُ ،
O All-merciful!
يا مُعطيَ الخَيراتِ ،
O Giver of fortunes!
صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَثيراً طَيِّباً كَأفضَلِ ما صَلَّيتَ عَلى أحَدٍ مِن خَلقِكَ ،
Bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad as much as and as pure as You have ever blessed any of Your creatures.
